Hightrail is the result of advanced game mechanics, a module I undertook during my masters.


The project revolves around speed running, utilising a simple "rocket jump" style weapon mechanic which instead of firing a projectile and dealing damage, launches the player at great speeds. The game is bolstered with a stylish User interface, including a leader board to keep track of your best runs.

Inspired primarily by neon white, cluster trucks and Demon Turf, the project developed into what I believe to be a competent speed runner, with an emphasis on mastery of the core mechanics and a keen understanding of the level.
